I was having the same kind of problem as you, but i'm still only sixteen then about last year my mom made me go in to the doctors and he just gave me a pill after two face washing products he prescribed me with didn't work. The pills help me alot if i don't take them i break out really bad, it's mostly my back though that get its really bad. My face gets it to but not as bad, and usually just around my nose.

The pill is called Minocin. I used the face wash stuff i had prescribed for me for my face and the few spots on my back i can reach, and the acne goes away in about a day or two depending on how big the pimple was...

I have a few guesses.

- you just started working out and maybe it has something to do with how your face/body is reacting to all the dirt and sweating.

- the sudden change in lifestyle is make your glands go a little wacko. would guess everything wil get back to normal after a while. don't stop training.

Also, I have very nice skin. rarely a blemish. Im 27 now. when i was younger, maybe up until around 21, I would have a small breakout here and there. When I stopped using acne cleaners and the like and I stopped owrrying abotu a pimple or two, I almost never had any blemishes again.

Remember, that pimple(s) only stand out to you. noone is perfect and noone really cares much about someone who is having a little breakout or anything.

No new pimples since the day after i stopped. So i know dairy (and whey) and peanuts make ME breakout. Did you get any break outs from the milk you consumed?

Its good to hear that you're not suffering from new acne anymore.

Although whey is a dairy product, I saw almost instant bad skin reaction with whey but not with milk. I even believe that milk has helped my skin look more healthy. Well at least healthier than before. I'm not sure why though.

Are there any types of protein shakes that don't contain dairy or whey?

I would like to know also. Those protein shakes were very convenient for me. I can up my daily protein very easily without the extra fats etc. Now that I've found out that i'm in a way allergic to whey, I intake fractions of the protein that I need. I get my proteins mainly from meats, mostly chicken. Each day is a struggle to get the right amount of protein.

Try soy protein shakes. I believe Optimum Nutrition has that, too.

Word. I'mma check that product out when I hit my local supplement store today.

Edit:

Well, my local store doesn't carry any other types of protein other then whey based. I guess I may have to hit up GNC or just stop supplementing protein all together .

I have now started to think that maybe I should just concentrate on my diet and consuming whole protein foods without the use of shakes.

Edit:

Also, I remember reading somewhere that Whey protein was the best protein to buy. What exactly does this mean? - Like, as far as how well the protein is absorbed by your body? Price wise? Etc.

I was thinking about that just after I edited my post for the second time. I know that some vegetarians eat eggs so my thinking was that maybe its easier on the system. I know that Egg protein is most likely made from eggs, but Whey is different (possibly made from dry milk? I am grasping for straws. Also, about Soy Protein; I heard that Soy Protein shakes makes your body produce more estrogen (I heard this from GNC guy after I called them up).

Edit - Oh yeah, I already supplement zinc, but the brand is "Western Family", the local grocery store brand.

Eggs are only dairy in the grocery store. Dairy=Milk product. Egg≠Milk product.

So my back now is pretty clear as in there is no real acne it's just like scars from them and they are bad. Is there anyway to get rid of these scars? When i go down to duluth in around july i'm going to try and get some Proactive to see if that works. Has anyone tried it?
