Wow if your using a blender n it still isn't work, something is wrong lol...
I just just mix my protein in a glass. Add a small amount of water Add your powder Stir (this will be thick) Add more water Stir This seems to be the best for mixing my powders and getting rid of the clumps and also the access clumps that are in the liquid/stuck to the side/bottom of the glass...

Thats the problem. You cant use a fork and do it sufficiently and if you can then it's too much effort wasted, not practical.
Use a shaker bottle if you dont want to use the blender, then shake the hell out of it for 15-20 seconds and you wont have an issue Unless this is the 2 year old expired whey you were using, as that might be the clumping issue right there...bad stuff |

Haha tommy...very funny! Seriously, a shaker cup or blender is the ticket. I generally use a glass and spoon and just deal with the clumps, but those "magic bullet" blenders are handy and easy to clean. |

Thought it was pointless to start a new thread for this question so my apology for bringing this one back but it seems to fit...a little.
Anways, I know there has been many arguments about mixing protein between milk and water but does anybody have any comments regarding mixing protein with orange juice. I mixed my chocolate ON whey with orange juice the other day and it tasted great actually... like a creamsicle. And I think the acidity of the orange juice might have helped the mixing as it was smooth as silk when I was done shaking... dumb question I know, but it sure was good. Maybe still take with water in the morning, and orange juice after workout?

How much sugar is in your orange juice? If that isn't a problem, then why not. It may even be better this way because of the insulin spike you'll get resulting in faster absorbtion.

the stuff I had this morning had somewhere around 20g's which is a lot. I'm going to buy the Tropicana low sugar after work today which as around 10g's and try out this mix for awhile....

clumps werent the issue, i just wanted to spice things up a bit so I tried chocolate protein powder with orange juice and it turned out much better than expected. The mixing part was just an added bonus..

Since I started buying my protein powder from True Protein | High Quality Nutrition and Protein Supplements, I get no clumps at all. In fact, the powder starts to mix as soon as it hits the water and I only need to shake for 5 seconds and it is ready to go. I love it.

Anyone else ever had this problem/reaction?
I have been working out hard for the past 6 months and have been taking Anabolic-7 (pills) with Pro Performance Creatine 189 (pills) for the past 4 weeks and have been getting GREAT results with NO bad side effects. I started taking a powdered protein shake, in addition to the pills I am already taking, a couple of days ago and have been experiencing severe abdominal pain, diahrrea, cramping, & nausea. (Only happens after I drink a shake). I switched to a different brand/type of protein shake thinking it was maybe the brand or type of protein and have even tried mixing the powder with skim milk vs. water but get the same reaction regardless. Has anyone else experienced this type of reaction from powdered protein supplements or does anybody have an idea what could be causing this? I have a Nutritionist that I buy my supplements from who is very knowledgeable and he has no idea what could be causing this nor has he EVER heard of such a reaction. Any thoughts, sugesstions, or help is GREATLY appreciated! |

It's a shame you're not compensated for your time though
I know Spinman was kidding but it's evident you're not a rep-- just someone who speaks with conviction when they feel passionate about something, that's all!
