Default Best Pre and Post workout Protein Drink?

After reading that the most important times to take protein is right before and right after a workout with water I decided My chocolate milk protein drink wasnt gonna cut it cuz the milk takes longer for protein absorption.

So which Brand/flavor of protein is best? Not necessarily creatine and everything else, but im open to suggestions. just something that tastes good with water.

The best pre-workout drink is BCAA's. Use Xtend by Scivation.

After, try some ON Whey and another serving of Xtend.

PWO 2 scoops waxy maize with some bcaa's by AAEFX followed up with 50 grams WPI about 20-30min later.

So is the Scivation Xtend a creatine like drink? I understand bcaa is branch chain amino acids, but should I compliment it with creatine as well? Or just Take the Xtend before, and xtend+protein after?

What do you guys think of San's V12 Fuel Injection TURBO? My friend got some and said he loved it! I bought some, used it twice, and it must have gotten wet because it is hard like taffy and unusable. (not hard like a rock or i'd just chip at it). I was gonna get more, but it sounds like this Xtend is better or am I comparing apples and oranges?

I really want something for pre-workout. I have gone both ways, with and without, and I work out like a beast when I have something first! Will this give me a ton of energy?

For protein drink, best in water is 4ever Fit Fruit Blast (Whey Isolate) or GF Pro (whey Isolate as well) 4ever Fit is by far the best tasting protein isolate I have ever tasted in my entire life lol (serious) All flavors are excellent.

For Preworkout Xtend is good for BCAAs

Smile Best Pre and Post workout Protein Drink?

Hi guys,

i have used Scivation Xtend and 4ever Fit Fruit Blast (Whey Isolate).

Scivation Xtend - this is more of a pre workout drink . L-Glutamine based drink. Reduce muscle breakdown and cortisol levels. Reduce fatigue and lactic acid levels for longer and more intense training.

4ever Fit Fruit Blast (Whey Isolate) - Whey Isolate is always better as a Post workout drink as it helps in muscle recovery and Muscle repair.

Best pre/post workout drinks are one I create on my own.


30-45 min prior I usually consume a dextrose/creatine/caffeine mix.
20 g dextrose
5 grams creatine
300 grams caffeine.
2 g beta-alanine

During the workout:

50grams whey
5-7grams BCAA's.
40 grams dextrose

Post workout:

50 grams whey
40 grams dextrose
5 grams creatine
lots of water


Then a meal maybe 45 minutes later.

I like that .... I'd like to try that but what Whey you using that you get 50 grams protein and what you taking to get your 40 grams dextrose?

no i dont get those dumps! yes! for success
good rush, but im kinda stimulant tolerant lol but im a find out today after 4 weeks without it
hope i get a kick out of it

50g is too much protein, overkill

i take Xtend with N-Xplode as my pre-workout...and Xtend with CellMass as my post workout drink cause they all are the same flavor...then by the time i get home, i take ON Whey mixed in water...then ON Whey with milk before i go to bed.


as for ON Whey, from what i've tried, this are my order of best flavors when mixed with water: Extreme Milk Chocolate > Chocolate > Vanilla > Fruit Punch > Cookies & Cream.
