Ok, so about 3 months ago I started taking a bunch of different supplements as well as protein shakes. Can anyone tell me if I'm overdoing it or not doing enough? What else do I need to take or change? I started taking all of these based on articles I've read and trial and error (seeing if it did anything for me). Anyway, here's the list...
+ ProComplex Augmented Protein Shake (60grams) + Iron + Glucosamine & Chondroitin 750/600 + Tonalin CLA + Glutamine + OptiMen Multivitamin + Total EFA (Double Action with Omega 3-6-9) + Daily Fiber Caps + BCAA + No-Xplode Fruit Punch Everyone recommended the no-xplode but I really didn't see or feel any changes. I tried taking a little more, followed the instructions to a T an yet I still saw no changes. |

Thanks for the advice. Here are my specs and more info you wanted...
AGE: 25 HEIGHT: 6'0 WEIGHT: 160 lbs My goals are to gain muscle mass and definition. I don't want to be bulky to the extreme, but definitely want to add some muscle and definition. In 2005, I was overweight and weighed 260 lbs. Its taken me some time, but I've managed to loose the weight and keep it off through healthy eating and light cardio and streching. Not so much weight lifting and I think that was a huge mistake for me. For the past 6 months I've been doing some light free weights and using a bench. I've gained some much needed definition but I would definitely like to fill in some more. Again, my main goal is to have a lean, toned, muscular build. Out of curiosity, why should I drop the glutamine and no-explode? Anyway, thanks again for all of you help. |

Because studies done it show that glutamine has no effect on protein synthesis, muscle hypertrophy, or gains in strength. So, pretty much worthless when it comes to building muscle.

As for the NO Xplode, its definitely not a necessity. I did however just buy a large tub of it during a great sale at an on-line store. I got a larger tub for only $32.00
I like the energy it gives me before a workout. I dont use it for the NO or the pump but the energy.
