Default Protein powder Side-effects...?

Hello all,

About a year & a half ago I underwent surgery to remove fatty cysts located just under my skin. The medical term I was given is "LIPOMA". On average, they are about the size of an almond. When I ask the doctors where they come from I get the same answer "genetics"... which, to me, kinda means, "I don't know". Honestly, I think its something I'm eating. I've heard before, from several people, that eating powders of some sort (iced tea mix for example), causes lumps or kidney stones.

If I had one or two I wouldn't be here asking. But the fact that I had over 40 removed from all over my body (legs, stomach, arms, back, butt), and have been noticing more (I counted 18 today), I think it may be linked to the powders I'm taking. I just have too many for this to be genetic. My father has a few, but nowhere near the amount that I do.

Here is my daily Protein Powder Diet
1 scoop - 8:00am
1 scoop pre-workout - about 6:00pm
2 scoops post workout - about 7:30pm

Just thought I would post here to see if anyone was noticing the same "lumps".

I'm 26 btw.

Thanks,
Ryan

havent heard of any sort of thing.....protien powders are a mass distributed product if people were getting any "lumps" from them it would stop and maybe the FDA would eventually step in

The only side effect of protein powder is bad gas.

Rancid gas, yes - lumps, no. A buddy of mine gets those bumps under his skin. His dad had the same thing, as do several people from his hometown. Could be something in the water.
