On a lark, I bought the book. Some of it is interesting. The author does spend a good deal of time explaining each and every component in the private label brands he knocks off. He also throws out certain ingerdients in his knock off formulas and tells you why he feels they can be omitted. You get a couple other ebooks with the cookbook. One is a listing of suppliers the other is a "Secret Natural T Booster Program". The upshot in this booklette is he is pushing another series of ebooks no weight training and nutrician. The general upshot is lifting heavy, eating and sleeping right will naturall increase your T levels. **Cough** **Cough** Well...duuuh!
Moat of the products he lists are things I don't use or have been around a good while and better things have come along. But, he does expalin how to pick apart a product label so you can do what he did with the products for his book. Some of the prices for the suppliments he lists are completely out of wack, and the chemical costs for the knock offs are definitley understated due to the age of the original publishing.
FWIW, it was only $27. If you are really cash strapped this may be helpful. I may or may not start making my own suppliments. I already drop Arginine powder and creatine in some juice before working out, that seems to work for me. I do not know if I really want to go down the mad scientist route and whip up my own version of Purple Wrath when I can just buy some at a discount supplier and be done with it.
