Default Whey opinions

What's a good tasting (or unflavored) whey protein I could get from Academy or GNC or a store like that. I'm using the Body Fortress brand now, and It's just too nasty. Although for the price, it was good quality stuff (minus the taste).

I'm too lazy to shop around so I go to the Vitamin Shopee next to my house for convenience. Their store brand tastes pretty good.

You think GNC brand whey would taste decent? It's the only real supplement place within 20 miles of my home.

Get Optimum Nutrition whey, chocolate mint. By far the best flavor Ive had, even in water.

GNC's Iso Burst chocolate flavor is pretty good.

I missed those last couple of posts. I wound up getting GNC's orange cream flavor whey. I'll try it tonight and see how it tastes.

Actually, I don't think it will be that bad. I think it's kind of based on the orange ice cream flavor. I think I'll just mix it with some orange juice. I'll try some with just water, too, to see how it tastes alone. I wish I would have seen those last two posts. I know for sure they had the iso blast choc.

I was looking at the different flavors (about 9), and the worker asked if I needed any help. I think it surprised him that I asked about the flavor rather than which brand to get. He recommended another brand that had a "delicious chocolate" flavor, but I'd rather try the 3lbs GNC for $32 instead of the 2lb "delicious chocolate" for the same price.

I need to order things over the Internet next time, although I'm taking the body fortress brand (walgreens, Wal-Mart, etc.) of glutamine and creatine mono. For the price, they're working very well. Their whey was just unbearable, though. I sent them an email asking for an unflavored...flavor.

I wouldn't recommend mixing it with orange juice. LIKE creatine, mixing it with that could change it's properties and make it a waste product or take away from the gains.

Not sure about protein though but I still wouldn't recommend it. Water is the best bet.

I had looked on the internet, and people seem to use orange juice to make protein shakes; I was wary of that, though. That's why I'm trying it with the water, first. If that works out, awesome; if not, I guess I'll have to break out the milk.

You can get tubs of ON 100% at GNC...my last tub was like $20 something and I get the Double Rich Chocolate which isn't bad in milk or water...for future reference.

I'm going to start ordering online though soon...it's cheaper...lol...

Perhaps leaving your thoughts/comments about the products would be useful?

Well Nitrotech I seem to be the most happy with, but they're on the pricey side. It's a make up of iso/conc whey. Tastes great so it's a pleasure to drink.

Myoplex isn't bad, it's got a lot of great stuff, why iso/conc, carbs, glut, bcaa. 53g of protein and comes in a satchel so easy to take to work or whatever. I normally take them around the 4pm and 9pm times.

Hydoflex is hydralised, so I normally take them after workouts for quick absorbtion. It only takes 1 scoop and u add 200-250mls of water, so it goes down in 1 or 2 gulps. Taste isn't too bad a bit on the light side.

Elite 80 Pro is iso/conc whey, has a small proportion of carbs. Can't remember what else it's got, but it comes in a 5kg bag so it's good value, but it tastes horrid. I just try to take it down quickly and don't look back lols. Basically this is my replacement for Nitrotech and Myoplex Delux. I'd thought I'd try something different lols and I got different lols.

All whey's seem to mix well btw, no chunky bits or anything.

Of I've also tried one of the GNC wheys. Had glutamin in it. Didn't really like the taste and it had some chunky bits.
