Default Gatorade powder used for dextrose?

Does anyone use Gatorade powder PWO for their insulin spike? I've read it does contain dextrose. If so, how much do you mix in?

I'm out of dextrose and my local health food store is out too. I've been using gatorade for about a week now. I use 1 30 cc scoop that comes with the ON Proteins. I forget but I think that is around 60grams of sugar (combination of dextrose and sucrose, what percent of each I do not know)

If you are looking for an insulin spike, dont use Gatorade, it will not produce a large spike like adding dextrose to your protein post workout will.

I prefer dextrose too, but why do you say gatorade will not produce a large spike in insulin? Were talking about powdered gatorade here.

Im not saying it wouldnt work, but you would have to take extra powder than a regular serving. I was thinking that you were talking about the liquid version. The powdered is better than the liquid version. The liquid version contains fructose which has less impact on our glucose levels.

Yeah, I figured you were thinking liquid. But even if the liquid contains fructose(or sucrose) its only a small amount, I do believe gatorade is mostly dextrose.

Actually im pretty sure the main ingredient in the liquid is fructose. The powdered is dextrose.
