I suggest you buy some powdered form of BCAA's. My personal favorite is Xtend.

Ok, but my question is do you need all those other bcaa's or just the big 3(leucine, valine, isoleucine)?

The only BCAA's are the 3.....Leucine, Valine, Isoleucine. Those other aminos are just regular amino acids. I personally dont supplement with the other regular aminos due to I feel I get plenty in my diet and protein supplement.

I do like to supplement with BCAA's because I feel I get better recovery and sustained energy from my workout with them. Also as I have mentioned before, BCAA's are metabolized in the muscle, not the liver like the other aminos so you get rapid absorption and benefits.

Nutraplanet seems to be one of the cheaper places around for most supps. $35 for 1kg is a good deal.

Just keep in mind the trueprotein BCAA bulk powder tastes horrible and doesn't mix well, although the cyrstal light mixing worked out okay for a little while. I bought Xtend and I mix some of the bulk stuff in to get an intermediate price because I was just not taking the bulk powder on it's own

You can also buy the powder and if it tasts bad which it does, cap the powder and take them as pills.

Vassille how do you cap them or where to get capsules? Don't want to waste my Watermelon Xtend because it has the worst taste ever. It just arrived today and I can't get it down. Are there any other BCAA's powders that have less/no taste that i can mix with vanilla or chocolate ON. Sorry don't mean to Hi-Jack but didn't want to make a new thread.

I think as far as cost goes, and trying to get the most benefit out of mega dosing. I think just the BCAA is your best bet. The non-essentials will be produced when fueled with the BCAA, and your protein powder should suffice with supplementing the other essential aminos.

No problem. You need a scale to measure the powder and empty gel caps. Most people perfer to use size "0" caps. 00 is the next size bigger but alot of people have issues with swallowing so.

If you decide to cap alot of powders, you may want to invest in a capping machine. Google 'Cap-M-Quick' or 'The Capsule Machine' as they are both good devices and make capping very fast and easy. Or do it by hand!

BCAA's are disgusting no doubt.

Okay, so any gelatin capsules will work fine? I always heard it will take longer if it was in capsules to get to your muscles. If BCAA's will be the only thing i cap do you think it is worth it to get a kit? Are there any other quality BCAA's capsules or powder out there besides Xtend?

If your only capping BCAA's then I wouldn't get a kit. Some people cap their CEE and other powdered supplements.

Yes any gel-cap is fine and most will dissolve very quick so absorbing can be fast. Probably wouldn't be any noticable difference from chugging the powder compared to taking the powder in the caps.

So far I only have used Xtend so I can't answer your other Q.
