i was always told that protien shakes are an aid of protein not a must. Meaning that protein shakes should be taken if you cant reach the amount you need in a day, and to get most protein from real food. So on that note i only take one after work outs, and one in the morning (if i need to get my protein intake up for that meal).

I take 2 daily, 1 is PWO and a casein before bed...If I dont have access to food Ill throw another one in but I prefer food to shakes...

BUMP to that CC.
Shakes fill me up for about.....30 minutes? I have a shake PWO and one at night to keep me anabolic. I tend to have a shake in the morning when I don't feel like eating a meal in the morning to keep my stomach busy for about an hour and then I eat a meal. I hate hating eating solid food in the morning. Having a weak morning stomach sucks

i will have shakes when i think i havnt eaten enough and when food isnt available. i love food tho.
