But seriously, you dont need all that medication if you are not sick. If you are having trouble on just certain days on falling asleep early, personally I would just take some benadryl. Its the same medicine as in over the counter sleeping pills. Take 2 or 3 and you will sleep like a baby.

If you take it tonight, no, its not gonna hurt you at all but I just wouldnt recommend taking it on a regular basis as a sleep aid. But seriously, how can you drink it?...yuck!

Shouldn't hurt you. I get up early too and when I know I'm not so tired I'll knock back a Tylenol PM or two to help bring on the Z's. Otherwise I'll be awake until midnight and toss and turn once I do crash. Last night was one of those nights. I took 2 at 9pm, read until about 10 and slept like a rock til 5 am. Only 7 hrs, but 7 quality out-like-a-light hrs.

Use Tylenol PM...It will help your body to relax and it has the added stuff to make you sleep...I had a friend who always took Nyquil before bed and I guess he built up a resistence or something because now he always has atleast a cold a month

Tylenol PM and Benadryl are both appropriate recommendations but you might want to look into something that might be safer to use everyday if that is indeed what you are looking for. Like Nite said, I wouldn't recommend making a habit out of taking Nyquil everyday but I wouldn't recommend it either with Tylenol PM or Bendadryl.
Are you thinking about taking something consistently long-term on an almost every night basis?

Even melatonin is not something I would be comfortable with relying on but like the Tylenol PM and Benadryl it's something that will temporarily get him through until he comes up with a long-term solution. I don't even think 6 mg of melatonin is necessary. 3 mg is perfectly adequate.
