Anyone else get molested by idiot sales reps when buying your supps???
This happens every time I go to stock up.
Last night I took some birthday money and went off to the supp store in search of some Creatine mono and some dextrose. I get to the store, make my way in and head right to the creatine section. I am there not even for 2 seconds and I hear a guy yell out from the back of the stock room "I'll be right with ya buddy"....So I replied to him "It's ok, I have it all covered, I know what I need" and figured I was in the clear. Well a few minutes later he heads over to me anyways, but I kept my eyes on the creatine. He says "Ok sir, what can I assist you with"? I replied, "I got it all covered bro, thanks anyways" He then says "You looking for a pre-workout drink?" I said no, I am looking at Creatine. He then says "Oh so you want a post workout drink?" I told him he lost me on that one and again re-assured him I had it covered, no help needed. He then looks at what I am looking at (Creatine monohydrate brands) And he says "No, that stuff is like sand and the body cant absorb it, so you dont want that stuff" And he points me to some Cell Mass that is like $62.00 Well I stopped him, or attempted to at least and told him that I wasnt new to the game and that I liked Mono for many reasons and I get great results from it. He looks at me like a kid who lost their dog and said "but it will make you puffy and you'll get the shakes and the market has changed and the new creatines are the superior ones and they wont bloat you or cause the shakes" Hahahaha, I told him there is always some water retention to deal with, but I didnt know what he was talking about when he mentions the shakes. I told him I I knew what I was doing and there was a method to my madness and I get results....PERIOD. He then says "Well you're a big guy, but I think you'd get bigger and stronger using the Cell Mass"....So I said "What do you get a commision for selling the Cell Mass or whats the deal"..."No thanks, I'll take the MSN Creatine Mono with 100 servings for $15" ...... He actually had the nerve to say "Well ok, but you wont get the results like with "Cell Mass" so you are actually doing yourself worse than good" I wanted to strangle the little 140 lb guy, but I refreained myself and I proceded to get my dextrose and headed to the counter So HERE'S THE BEST PART = He rings me up and it comes to $26 and some change. Well the creatine is $15.99 and the dextrose was $2.99 = $18.98 total plus tax so I am thinking that is off (obviously) and I told the guy that he made a mistake as it should be about $19 plus tax... So his reply "Oh well i dont think I made a mistake, no looks right, here let me check the receipt.....Nope, all is in check, it's $26" I could only laugh at this point and I asked if he had a calculator, he did, so he gave it to me, I added up the items, plus tax 8.25% and I then showed him the total of $20.50 or something....LOL this guy then re-did his register and re-rang up everything and he came to the correct total and then he got all scared and said "Sorry sir I didnt try to cheat you" and I was like "It's ok, I know" and I wouldnt think he tried to jack me, but he repeated "Sorry sir I didnt try to cheat you" at least 5 more times, so that was weird. Anyways, just another day at the supp store

I pretty much hate all sales people of any type. No matter what they are selling they pretty much all act like this.

LMAO...Nice story. At GNC here in Ottawa, I find they leave you alone if you tell them nicely to go away, especially if you're 60 or more lbs bigger than them.

lol yeh thats how the GNC near me is like. f***ers always get at you and think they are helping you. i dont have a problem with ppl if they try selling you something if they are getting commission, but if not then its just like LEAVE ME ALONE!

This was a vitamin/supp store called VP Discount Centers.
They have good prices, the best in my area, so I guess it's worth the hassle of having ignorant sales reps Most of the time they dont mess with me once I tell them to go away. I dont exactly have a friendly look about me, so I think this guy just wasnt all there.

You should have gotten your purchases for free for his mess-up. Well the money mess-up, theres too many mess-ups lol. Sand and the body won't absorb it? LOL, i'll have to keep that one for later use... hahaha

If they start telling me things to take, my response is pretty standard "...that's the most stupid thing I heard, if I want to look like you, I'll take your advice".
