My instructor has advised me to start taking creatine.
now im about to pick up creatine monohydrate from prolab. i've been advised to take in a 5 g scoop with 60 g sugar 30 min before workout once a day 4 days a week (since i work out 4 days a week). he said he will increase the dose to 10 g for the second week once he sees how my body reacts to it and will bring it down to 5g for week 3 n 4 and then the cycle ends. is this fine? or should it be taken with another drink? or perhaps at a different time i.e. after workout etc. pls advise. as for BCAA's. ive been taking Bodyfuelz muscle max amino acids. i take 2 sachets during workout 4 days a week. each sachet being 5 grams. is this fine??? or should i take em before and after workout too and on those days too on which i do cardio and rest? pls advice. thanks a lot. http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/fo...-creatine.html A lot of people will do what they call a loading phase with creatine for the first 5 days. This is where they take 20 grams a day split into 4 doses for 5 days. They will then follow up with the maintenance phase for the remainder of the time they take creatine. This amount is usually 5-10 grams daily. As for what to drink with creatine. I personally prefer grape juice. I will put a heaping teaspoon of creatine in my mouth and chase it with a glass of grape juice and then drink a glass of water afterwards. I take my creatine post workout. As for BCAA's, I split my dosages for pre-workout and post workout. Take your BCAA's on your cardio days as well. Before cardio is a good time to take them.
