GBR has a spectacular aura about
Default BCAA help!

I was at GNC over the weekend looking at some of there choices, but just couldn't decide. Do a lot of you get your amino's from the protein powder you buy, or what? Up here in Alaska we don't get a whole lot to choose from, so I frequently order on line. So many choices and I want the best. What would you recommend and why?
Thanks

Bigk-78 what is ON and ND? Also if I stayed with my current whey protein which lists Isoleucine 1g, Leucine 2g, and Valine 1g, per serving. Is this enough? Or can I add a sup that offers more?

I use a little [no links] BCAA powder in my [no links] shake as I feel at 220lbs I need a bit more than some.
I also have some BCAA powder before I do cardio so that I don't go too catabolic.

BCAAs are meant for pre-workout to be anti catabolic during lifting and/or cardio. Any protein source is likely to have some BCAAs because proteins are just amino acids linked together after all. Normally you would take 5-10g pre workout which is a lot more than a serving of whey would have. Also extra Leucine (one of the BCAAs) is a good amino acid to take with your post WO shake. There has been new research about the benefits of Leucine.

Got it. You all have been very helpful. I will certainly take a closer look at my proteins and also integrate Leucine. Thank you

Are you at Eielson AFB? I've been to North Pole, Alaska.

Seriously Nite? I've never heard of anyone that didn't love Elmendorf!

Elmendorf / Anchorage isn't to bad. There is more to do there. Better fishing, Shorter winter and not as cold. North Pole? For the kids Safeway's the local hangout! lol

There was better fishing.

Back to the topic... Have you decided on a BCAA supplement yet?
