Default muscletech bodybuilding stack

I have a runners build (5'9" - 145lbs) with a naturally high metabolism (bf: 8-10%)... getting back into lifting at the gym and less cardio...

I was looking for some supplements to give me a little boost to adding muscle mass/cut and get down to about 4-5% bodyfat like I was before I met the gf that knows how to cook...lol

My workout is usually full body using the Cybex weight machines.. 4 sets with the 3rd set being to failure and the 4th set being to failure with ladder failures...

Anyways, to give my body a little boost I decided to try the Muscletech Muscle Building stack ($70 at GNC with Gold Card), along with my usual Mega Man vitamins and MuscleMilk after workouts...

The Musclebuilding Stack has three components:
-Creakic - Creatine mix - 2 servings of 3pills.
-Gakic - Muscle fatigue booster - 1 serving of 8pills.
-Leukic - Anabolic mix - 1 serving of 6pills.

I am on week 2 right now and not too impressed with it...I am getting stronger, but I think it is more from me working out almost every other day than the supplements... I will post the pill count later, something like 20 a day on workout and 12 when off... Needless to say, it is a buttload of pills... mades me gag the amount of pills they want you to take, so I cut down to 2/3rd dosage. Since the cut-down I have about 2 weeks left on that stack... will see what the results are at the end... however, I feel I will not be going back to that stack.... Next stack I am going to try is the MRI Impact Stack (CE2 & NO2)....

thanks for the input but if you do your research you can come up with your own stack thats cheaper and more effective. For the most part you can buy supplements online for MUCH cheaper than GNC even with the Gold card and factoring in shipping.

Congrats on spending lots of money. Your wallet appreciates it...

The best stack you can get: food. Stuff yourself with good calories. Supplements won't do much without a dialed-in diet.

And why are you trying for so low a bf%? Those are pretty much contest numbers you want to achieve, and you won't get be getting bigger if you have to keep your diet in check to maintain 4%. At 145lbs, you need to eat, then eat some more.

Right on Fonz.... I have to go with you there..however shipping might be a little more due to the crazy prices places charge due to shipping to Hawaii, even though it is the 50th state... lol... actually I was able to get the MRI impact stack for $40, which is close to half of what GNC charges... dirty buggers....

JustAddWater... recently able to acquire a bodyfat caliper and it states about 15% bodyfat... want to get that down to at least 10% to see how that works... this last week and this next one I will not be able to watch my diet and workout as much as I want to due to family being in town...so looks like I have a short bulk up on food stage.... right now sitting at 149 average...

Going to try the MRI Impact Stack to see how the NO2 and CE2 stack works on my physique, along with the MuscleMilk drinks...

I know all those NO2 and other neato looking supplements seem, well, neato, but at 149lbs, they should be the least of your worries. Seriously, you need to start eating lots of solid food and protein. Liquid supplements cannot be a replacement for solid meals. They are convenient at certain times and when in a rush, but don't consider them a priority.

Second, while many people have this urge to cut before they bulk, consider this - at your current weight, you need to start putting on some mass. You're already a stick figure. Have a very clean bulk and then worry about cutting when you have a bit more on your bones. Carb cutoffs at night and regular cardio will help with your bodyfat even while bulking. Don't fall into the trap that it's either one or the other, black and white. You just have to be smart about it.

Got it JustAddWater....

I can understand why you say to eat, eat, eat to get bigger... Actually it has always been extremely hard for me to gain weight... my metabolism is fairly high and have slim hips & shoulders... more of a typical runners body.... one of those one look and "Yep, he must be a runner"... use to be about 133 in 03 when I ran every other day... now I just do weight machines with very little cardio and eat much more home-style but still healthly cooking from the gf...also the calories from 2-6 beers a week add to that...sitting at 149 & 5' 9"...

highest I have hit is 153, but couldn't break that... looks like I will just eat like mad per your recommendations above and continue to gym every other day to see what that does to my weight and bf%...lets see if I can hit 155lbs...

Why don't you give us some more details bro? Most people don't eat as much as they claim. How many cals you getting in per day? How much protein, etc?

Aye. Just again, be smart about the eating...crap will turn you tubby even while working out. Chicken/turkey/tuna are great lean meats. Avoid simple sugars (except pwo shake like dextrose, etc) and have whole grains. Pretty simple, it's just a matter of taking in more calories than you burn, or else you'll be spinning your wheels.

You need to reverse weekdays and weekends caloric intake if you wanna bulk up a little bit. Everything else looks good but I do hope you get protei, carbs, and fats from foods and not so much supplement.

Try Kre-alk creatine, no explode or some other nitric oxide, and whey protein for the 3 main supplement you should have

You need more protein than that........it should be well over 200g per day. How does this compare to your intake when you were lighter? You realize that as you gain weight, your maintenance also goes up right?

Most of that info is from regular food... only drink 1 Muscle Milk on days I work out.. I haven't worked out in almost a week due to family in town, turkey day, my wedding on Sat, and the rest of my family still in town till like thurs... they are all from the mid-west and like to eat fried, cheese-swamped foods & deserts at resturants whle on their vacation here in Hawaii... completely blowing my diet & exercise for now... and I physically/mentally feel like junk overall a bit from not hitting the gym due to spending time with them...

However, I can get back on my diet by this weekend and up my protein intake too... Weekends are easier for me to eat a lot more due to being off of work... might have to start taking a protein shake to work in my usual lunch bucket or something...

When I was lighter, I was eating like a bird, lots of carbs and vegs... running a lot... and would burn it all off... typical....

I greatly appreciate you guys posting your input up on these thread for me...
