Default Expiration dates on supps..

So I was digging through all the supps that made their way to the back of the cabinet and found a 1/2 bottle of ZMA. Expiration or use by date is like 2/01/2005. Think it's oK to use? I mean, it doesn't spoil does it?

Are there supps that you should absolutely avoid after the expiration date? I do have some whey that's a little over. Also some vitamins etc.

I am a firm believer that Expiration dates are complete bull****. Especially with supplement companies, they just put expiration dates on there so stores will eventually have to re-order. I'm sure it's fine, it's just vitamins anyway, right????

if it was a powder i'd prolly suggest you pitch it, but I agree with chauncey on this.

Any supplement will deteriorate after time. If you have kept it in a cool, dry place it should be ok but if its past the expiration date, I would just go ahead and buy a new tub.

I frequently take advantage of expiration dates with protein powders, MRP's and bars alike. Never had an issue. There is a certain degree of freshness that is noticably lacking, but 48 protein bars for 27 bucks (CDN) is worth it :P.
