Default Nasty Creatine Question

If you take creatine and it gives you the sh*ts, is it being absorbed by your body or is it just coming straight out the other end?

some of it is being absorbed but like everything some will be lost and excreated. if its upseting your stomach give it a few days see if it stops if it doesnt, stop using it or change brands.

remember your giving your body somthing its not use to in such large quantaties so it needs time to adjust.

just out of intrest how much are you consuming?

That is one side effect from creatine that some people can get. As bigale asked, how much are you taking and how much water are you consuming?

I sometimes got the poops when I cycled monohydrate, but I havent yet got a bloat or the squirts from CEE or Kre-alk forms of creatine.

Maybe keep that in mind when your tub runs out if your using monohydrate.

I take it once a day on my off days and twice a day on the days I lift. I have a protein shake right after I take it. I also drink alot of water about a gallon and a half a day.
Some brands do this to me and some dont. Its to late to return it, so I am trying to make this stuff work so I'm not waisting my money.

you know what would suck. if creatine had a huge side affect that damgaes over time and in 35 years the thousands of people that are taking creatine are hurt by it. but i hope not.

not neccesarily in a 24 hour period. Your muscles can only retain 5-7g of creatine at a time. I dont think i've ever seen anything that says how much your body uses up everyday, but probably not much considering the maintenance is only 5g on off days and your body probably only takes in half that?

You might try some kre-alkalyn. It alleviates a lot of symptoms people have with regular creatine.

Here is your problem = NOT ENOUGH WATER INTAKE

You MUST consume 1 gallon to perhap up to 2 gallons of water per day when taking creatine mono.

I guarantee this is your problem and if you dont believe it, test it yourself.
You must drink at least a gallon a day (which is what I do regardless of on mono or not)

Yeah maybe, but theres more evidence that points to the contrary, i.e. creatine is actually very healthy for you.
