Default Weight Gainers?

I see that these are a real easy way to add alot of "good" calories to a diet. Are they worth taking? I ask this question, due to their high cost, and the fact that some people say that all the weight you gain while taking it goes away when you stop taking it. Any info would be great. Thanks again.

Im not a big fan of gainers due to the high levels of simple sugars that make up the majority of them out there. Yes, this includes maltodextrin.

If I were to take a weight gainer, I would suggest " Up Your Mass" from MHP. The main source of carbs in it is oats. These are complex and better for you.

Im not saying they are all bad. It would be ok to drink 1 shake during the day for calories and protein.I also say dont rely on them for your calories. Its always best to eat solid foods when you can. A cheap shake you can make that will boost your calories and is from foods is this below..

1 cup milk
8 oz. of any flavor yogurt
1 banana
3-4 ice cubes

Blend this together. You can add other ingredients that you prefer like whey, peanut butter, flax oil, etc. Its cheap, convenient and it tastes good.
