Im slightly confused too..

When you buy a tub of whey protein it comes with a scoop so you will get the right amount each time, no need to measure.

Also if you are looking for additional whey shake recipes, try this thread...

Buy a tub of whey, put one scoop of it in a glass, add water or milk, stir, then drink it.

Better yet, just eat regular food more often until you're ready for supplements.

Dude ...

Protein in and of itself isn't a supplement PER SE, but Whey Protein IS indeed a PROTEIN supplement. Something that SUPPLEMENTS your current diet. If the poster can't figure out how to make a shake when it states on the the tub how to do it, he isn't ready.

alright, point proved, but to the poster.

This came out of Men's Health.

2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 banana
1/3 cup of whey protein (or just a scoop)
1/2 cup of fat-free chocolate frozen yogurt
1 cup fat-free milk

I just use 1 scoop of whey, 16 oz. of 2% chocolate milk, and some flax oil. It ends up totaling 35g of protein and 400 calories. I do that 3 times a day on work-outs, 2 on non-workouts.

I've been snorting it through a silly straw, but I guess your way sounds easier.....

I've always gone with water, as I've heard milk gives you a possible soft look

I drink 3 glasses of milk a day and I don't have a soft look. I don't understand how milk could do that. Looking soft has to do with bf% and 1 cup of skim milk has no fat, 9 grams of protein and 13 grams of carbs.

I can't recall. I'm not concerned with sugars in natural food. Of course organic milk is much better but it's twice as expensive.

When I first started lifting weights when I was 16, I got this recipe out of a mens health magazine and it was great and it was cheap and it worked well

1 serving of carnation instant breakfast
8oz skim milk
2tbsp peanut butter
1 banana

Yummy!! and my parents would buy all the stuff b/c it wasnt whey protein.
