A friend was talking about creatine and said that if someone takes creatine for a month and with small doses of 5 grams per day their body might stop producing it after they stop supplementing. True?

No, your body will not stop producing it. Once you stop creatine supplementation, it can take 3-4 weeks for your body's natural creatine levels to go back to normal.
