BCAAs have been said to be very beneficial in the preservation of muscle. There's a few people on here that have gotten some good results from supplementing BCAAs and especially at mega-doses, I believe from personal experience that is highly beneficial to your workout.

As far as amino acid tablets? I wouldn't supplement aminos myself but you should be getting enough from your food.

I would recommend using the powder instead of the pill honestly.

Alot of people use Sciavation Xtend but when I was supplenting I used the BCAA STACK from Universal Nutrition I believe. It came with Glutamine also so it helped when I took it after my workout and before also.

Yes, BCAA's are important. I do recommend taking them as a supplement.
If you do just cardio sessions and are trying to preserve muscle, they are key to take before the exercise.

Also during weight training too, the BCAA's are the first aminos to be tapped into so you need extra. I feel your training will greatly benefit from using them. BCAA's are also metabolized in the muscle, not the liver like other aminos. I feel BCAA's can help improve your performance and help with recovery from your training.

The brand I recommend is Scivation XTend.

I dont supplement with extra amino acids though. I too, feel I get plenty with my protein in my diet and supplementation. However, there are a few using extra aminos and seem to have success with it.

I use the complete aminos between meals, as the protien poweders were to much for my digestive system to handle (gas...etc...).
