Default Weightgainer...sickness

A week or so ago I got N-Large2 and starting drinking it at least once a day. Usually with 2 scoops (1200 calories). Not everytime I take it but 75% ill take it and throw up after, Is this because my body isnt used to all the calories? Should I start with smaller servings?

yea...1200 calories is a TON to be taking in at once and i dont have a nutritional values chart for N-Large in front of me, but chances are the reason your body is rejecting all of that is because its more than it could possibly digest, your body can only digest about 50 grams of protein at a time so that plus all the carbs is gonna be too much...try cutting that in half and making 2 servings out of it spaced far apart in the day. Also if you are taking it IMMEDIATELY PWO, you might wanna wait about 20 minutes as your body will still be able to quickly absorb all the nutrients and your stomach might not be turning so much from the workout (my roommate and lifting partner has to lay down on the floor for about 20 minutes after a leg workout to prevent himself from throwing up so he has to wait a while longer to have a PWO shake)

hope this helps!

2 scoops of nlarge is only 300 calories. You must mean 2 SERVINGS, which is 8 scoops.

I dont mean to sound rude, but this is a TERRIBLE idea. Personally, i never even take one whole serving at a time. I split them into half servings, so only 2 scoops of nlarge at a time. 300 calories, 40 carbs, 25 protein.

I think you're relying on your weight gainer too much and like tryin2gain said....that's a horrible idea.

If you MUST take in 2 servings a day, not considering you'll run out of N-Large 2 in 2 weeks lol, take 1 serving in the morning and one in the evening. I honestly think you should replace 1 serving with a meal but then again what do I know.

I think he just is completely confused and thinks that a scoop is a serving. He says 2 scoops and thinks its 1200 calories which leads me to believe that he thinks 1 scoop is 600 cals. Just my thoughts. If thats the case and your throwing up, i have no clue. 300 cals is nothing in one sitting. But 8 scoops would be a totally different story, but i think you would have put 8 scoops if thats what your doing. Quite sure your new to the game and again relying on this too much.

I'm just reaching out here and guessing that he's new to the game. I think this is another noob mistake and that is jumping right into weightgainers because they want to see weight gain when their diet is not in check. If this is the case, then put the nlarge aside and focus on whole foods.

/\ Bump on the whole foods! I don't really take too much stock in weight gainers...Once you stop them you tend to lose all of the weight unless you can keep eating the same amount of calories foodwise...

Eat a ton of clean food bro! From one skinny guy to another, you will see better results!

Yes, but 1 serving i believe is 4 scoops. Real food believe it or not is cheaper than weightgainers and better for you.

Looking at the ingredients of N-Large there are an awful lot of aminos in there - not all of them 'essential'. I can't take non-essential amino acids they make me feel terribly sick and dizzy and a few years ago after taking an amino packed protein formula - I completely passed out at the gym!! - but I'm not allergic or intolerant to any proteins when taken in normal food.

I'm no food scientist but I expect it's because some of the non-essential amino acids are already in your blood when you take the mixture and generally when there are an excess of non-essential amino acids in the blood, the body turns them back into their former essential amino form... If you take a load of non-essential proteins all at once, the body is working frantically hard to re-address the balance and frankly, can't cope! Try getting a mixture that only contains the ESSENTIAL amino acids with particular emphasis on the branch chain ones (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) - these three are supposed to make up 70% of our total protein uptake and are known to be particularly active in the muscle recovery process after exercise.

My advice is, if you need a supplement, only take one containing the essential aminos - after that, let your body be the one to guage what quantity of the non-essential aminos you need
