Hey,
I went to my local store and found these two whey protein supplments. Which do you think is better in terms of weight training? http://www.designerwhey.com/html/pop...chocolate.html http://www.gfrhealth.com/whey-Vanilla.html BTW, Im an 18 year old with 4 months off school. I weigh around 140lbs and am looking to put on 10-15 pounds of muscle mass in the 4 months. So in other words, Im not looking to do hardcore weight training, but instead just get some more definition in my body while putting on some weight. Thanks! |

"Im not looking to do hardcore weight training."
Another problem...You won't achieve your goals on any timetable if you don't want to get serious...

I dont think its that unrealistic of a goal. No weight you gain is going to be all muscle, but the majority of it can be if you do it right.
Let us not forget the joy of noob gains. Before i got serious and knew what the hell i was doing, i gained a solid 8 pounds of muscle relatively quick. I had no diet, and my workout plan was meh. The only thing different was i ate a little more than normal, and was working out consistently. I was shocked when people i havent seen since high school were telling me i looked bigger, and i had only been lifting roughly 2-3 months. I noticed i was getting stronger, and the scale was showing more, but i figured i looked the exact same. Ah how i miss noob gains.

By saying Im not a looking to do hardcore weight training, Im not looking to spend hours and hours in the gym. For the last 2 weeks Ive been going everyother day and spending 1 1/2 in the gym and I plan to continue doing that. But yeah I guess 15lbs would be a little unrealistic.
Mainly I just want to get myself wider and put on some pounds of muscle mass. But based on those two protein supplments, does 1 look better than the other? |

Well, to be honest, hardcore weight training doesnt require hours of time in the gym. You should be done with your lifting within an hour and you dont want to lift everyday. Thats way to much. Stick with a 3 or 4 day split and you will be fine.
Dont look at whey protein as some miracle supplement, its not. Its designed to assist you in your diet. Whey should be taken at the proper times, like post-workout to replenish your body quickly. Actually, I would get some Optimum Nutrition whey instead of those two.
