Old creatine coverting to creatinine?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for creatine to convert to creatinine if it is not in a liquid. I bought a tub of Xpand off a friend who opened it 7 monthes ago, took a scoop or 2 but it bothered his stomach so he stopped. It sat in his room up until this week. The top layer of power was fine but the bottom 3 inches was fairly solid and i broke it up with a knife.

Can anyone see a problem with taking this? If it is possible that it has already converted to creatinine it would be doing a lot more bad than good to be taking this product.

If anyone has any opinions or scientific evidence it would be greatly appreaciated.
