its actually used as a base chemical for the manufacture of methamphetamine, so is ephedrine.

of course sassafras is used to make MDMA (so being a base for a illegal drug does not make it inherently bad)

yer, thats what i thought. i use my time finding things i can use under the international drug code and subsequentially the australian anti-doping code because i am liable to be drug tested during competition. so i did some reading on ephedrine, good to see i still remember it .

ephedrine is banned in most sports. Would guess that its banned under those codes.
