hey guys,
just wanted to ask if there's any point taking BCAAs when supplementing with 60 - 70 grams whey/day (bulk protein powder). got a good brand of BCAAs with instructions to take two servings daily, one pre and one postWO. each serving has: Serving size (capsules): 6 * Vitamin B6 (mg): 1.2 * L-Leucine (mg): 1500 * L-Isoleucine (mg): 750 * L-Valine (mg): 750 seems to be quite a lot (12 pills in total!), and im taking about 30 grams PostWO whey. also taking CLA and alcar - any contra-indications? |

1st off no it's nothing contradictory at all - as fast as your body uses them for muscle repair and for protein synthase honestly you're on the right track - what's really important is what the rest of your diet is like? Only issue that could come about is possible kidney stone production from inadiquate H2O intake - keep your H2O intake to a minimum of 3 liters per day and you shouldn't have to worry about that either unless it's in your DNA/family history- best of luck and keep shocking those muscles to get the most from your supplementation.
