I wasnt trying to be a dick, but Fadi and Traz's claims are obsurd. Ive been in the fitness industry for 20 years and have seen various clients benefit from glutamine supplementation. when looking at glutamine research you have to number 1: see who the research is being done on and number 2: see when it was done. studies done on rats, pigs, ppl with HIV and burn victims dont count. as does research done in the 90's where they were just starting to look at this. these studies were done on young healthy individuals in the last few years

We conclude that glutamine supplementation during resistance training has no significant effect on muscle performance, body composition or muscle protein degradation in young healthy adults. Sports Science Laboratory, University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware 19716, USA. These data indicate that the short-term ingestion of glutamine does not enhance weightlifting performance in resistance-trained men. Department of Human Biology, Maastricht University, The Netherlands. It is concluded that ingestion of a glutamine/carbohydrate mixture does not increase the rate of glycogen resynthesis in muscle.
