Default High Cholesterol

My dad has slightly high cholesterol. I was gonna tell him to get Red Yeast Rice. Does he have to take it with COQ10 too?

I would just tell your dad to hit the gym. Do light weight training and a good diet will aid in getting that high cholesterol dilema to a norm.

Im currently taking red yeast rice but not coq10. You can have him also try lecithin. Its been shown to lower the bad cholesterol and raise the good cholesterol.

A clean diet will definitely help but something people need to remember, cholesterol levels, whether good or bad are mostly genetic. You are either pre-dispositioned to have high or low cholesterol. Your body will get rid of the cholesterol from food much easier than it can from the cholesterol it produces itself. My doctor told me this. I was shocked when I first had mine checked and she said it was 118. She told me to thank my parents for that, its genetics. That was awhile ago, Im now up to 140 which is still good.

Ya, well he just came from the doc thats how he knew it was high. The doc gave him like a food list and what he should n shouldnt eat, like red meat only twice a weeks max. Its not very high just a little, but i remember reading ryr helped with that.

RYR will only work if it has been standardized for mevinolin (lovastatin).

unfortunately its impossible to know since claiming mevinolin amount is illegal.

Sesamin (SesaPURE) can help to raise HDL and lower LDL

exercise and diet can make a significant impact (not just on cholesterol), even just walking 30-45min a day.

genetic pre-diposition is a fact of life, though a lot can still be done supplement, diet and exercise wise.
