Default new guy interested in supps

I am just getting in to bodybuilding and i weigh 270 with 35%bf. I am mostly conserned with cutting right now but i also want more muscle mass. I am clueless about supps. could anyone give me a list of what i would need. i need to know what brands, kinds, when to take them, and where to buy. there is a gnc near by or would it be better to get them online? If so then i need some websites. thanks guys.

I'd recommend concentrating on one goal at a time, either cutting or bulking.

If you want to cut, make sure your diet and training is in check, and look into some supplements. At your current bodyfat percentage, an excellent stack for you would be our SesaThin and Phenogen. Also, adding in something like Melting Point by Designer Supplements would improve the stack even further.

In fact, those three together would be a pretty b*tchin' stack.

just keep in ind that supplements are meant to be just that, they are meant to supplement a good diet. read through stickies and past topics, google online etc. to find good diet advice, make that the bedrock of your program. you need a good basis for the supplements to be able to do their job. and i cant say it enough, drink lots of water, all day long.

first make sure your diet and training are correct. Lots people become too dependent on supplements and neglect the previous two mentioned concepts. At this point, the only thing i could say taking is a multivitamin and protein. Everything else should wait for awhile because you may not need them. And buying online is best, GNC is only good when their gold card week happens.

Keep it simple. Focus on what's important..You wanna cut? then do just that; do not confuse your body with too much things going on. That will just confuse your workout as well.

Question Looking to cut down body fat %

Im 5'8" 187 lbs, i run about 4-6 times a week, eat a protein shake when i get up with a dailey Vitamin(megaman),drink alot of water through out the day, eat 2 meals and have another shake before bed. I snack through the day, peanuts, chicken, trailmix, beef jerky, ect.I want to get leaner but dont want to lose body mass and weight. I diet and treat myself on sunday but dont get crazy.
Are there any supplments that may help me?

A better question: do you really need a supp? Your lifestyle, diet, etc. sounds very good and really you should be seeing the results you want with that routine.

This may not be a popular opinion but I think keeping it "simple" is the best solution.

need is a relative term. if it improves progress and performance many would say that is sufficient reason.

it a matter of preference.
