The glut is not working for me, Ima up the dosage. I feels ore as f*ck from the workout yesterday, which feels good, but makes me think the glut is a waste of my money.

I take 5 gram pre and post workout, 5grams before going to bed. I took 25 grams before one workout and didnt get the pump, and was still sore. DAMMIT!

i started taking glutamine and it did help me recover but most of all ive been getting the flu or cold like every other week and it has stopped that so im really happy. also shouldn't glutamine be taken right when you wake up to help blunt coristol effects from the release in the night?

Just started taking it today.

This is first supplement besides multi-vitamins I have taken. I'm cutting, so thought this may help.

I'm wondering if EAS Glutamine (L-Glutamine ) and Designer Protein (Designer Whey Protein Powder) could both be used? If not, which would be best to use? If so, which should be taken when, taken at the same time? I'm not bulking and I'm not cutting... I'm weightlifting and eating healthy to lose weight and gain muscle.

ON Glutamine Powder is what I got(1000g). It is 4.5g per serving.

Here is way I did it first day:

1 teaspoon before workout(1 teaspoon is the 4.5g), 1 after, and 1 before bed.

Today I did 30 mins cardio, then took a serving. I plan on doing cardio again late this afternoon and then taking a serving before I goto bed.

So 13.5g on workout day and 9g on off days(just cardio, except on Sunday I do nothing). Undecided on how much I will take on Sunday, prob 9g though.

I only planned a schedule for taking Glutamine on my workout days... Is it needed to take on every other days, rest days? If so, when should it be taken, how many times, amount of servings?

Default L-Glutamine (Brand)

I want to know which Glutamine brand would be best from these.

EAS Glutamine
Muscle Recovery Glutamine
Syntrax GLU FM

More probably between EAS Glutamine and Muscle Recovery Glutamine, at a better price. Which? Thanks.

I picked up some glutamine last week, and after a week I can say it greatly reduced DOMS (which is the reason I picked it up, as bench press was leaving me sore for 3 or 4 days).

As for the pump.....I haven't noticed anything.

I take it as follows

15g 1 hr before workout
5g post workout
5g before bed.

Non lift days

5g ~ 4pm
5g before bed

megadave, may I suggest for you to do this instead.

5g 1 hr before workout
5g post workout
15g before bed.

I believe that would benefit more. You usually rest for 7-8 hours, and that is when you recover, so by taking 10-15g before bed should help with that process.

Hey Big Al
When you take the 30grams, what do you take it with Do you mix it with juice, in a shake I plan on doing it for my Wednesday workout. Many thanks in advance.

Not sure on that stacking question, have never used those product before. One known issue about glut timing is when taking it along with creatine. Some say it would cause them to compete during digestion.

Having said that, I read on another board, one disturbing issue of glutamine is that, in the free form it's much difficult to absorb. some recommend Glutamine peptides (GPlenish comes to mind) products for better absorbtion.

Can anybody confirm this ?
