Suprisingly, Portland offered him 5 years and this was kept secret.
But in reality, Lamar was going nowhere from the start, he just was looking out for his own and tryng to get his. He did learn one thing and that was to not attempt to play poker against one of the best - Dr. Jerry Buss.

Had he just taken Buss' original offer, he'd be making $780,000 more a year.

But I certainly was elated to hear the news yesterday.
He's just one man, but without Odom, I didnt see us defending our title too well...And now with him, its setting in that the Dynasty is just getting started.

man I met that guy at a bar in SF during the offseason before he went to the clips... I shook his hand and told him all the fans wanted him to stick around and we appreciate him doing his thing on the team... guess he didn't listen to me
