I personally drink a Muscle Milk RTD while I'm laying bed about 3 minutes before I go to sleep. And for about 2 years, whenever I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom I pounded a big whey/micellar casein mix.

Try it and see how it works for you.

I used to do that but now I put only 1/2 a scoop of whey in a little milk and then I eat some cottage cheese. It's full of casein protein. Half cup of cottage cheese gets you a natural 14g of protein.

I forced myself to like that stuff. Slowly but surely.

i used to either drink muscle milk right before bed, or some natural peanut butter mixed with cottage cheese.

Muscle milk, I dunno, I have mixed views on it. I bought a tub, it's too expensive for me and way too many chemicals I'm putting in my body I cant even read.

If I was on a superbulk, Id down cottage cheese with peanut butter (good idea!) and some good complex carbs.

yeah i know what you're saying about the muscle milk. the stuff is expensive, but if you can afford it it's great. makes me feel swole, and mybe the best part about it is the taste. i don't think i ever had a craving for any dessert with the stuff.

Cottage cheese and peanut butter, yummy.

My nighttime pattern consist of a warmed glass of whole milk and a cup-two cups cottage cheese (i've been purchasing the small curd instead of the usual large.)

I use to drink a Probolic 12-Hour Muscle Feeder shake before bed. Since then, I've gotten my diet straightened out and have been hitting my protein goals pretty well. With that said, I've switched to cottage cheese with a little whey sprinkled on it.

I've always wondered: Does MHP have any clinical studies on their product to substantiate Probolic's "12-hour claim"?

I think, as with most supplements, 12 hours is an exaggeration; however, as far as sustained release goes, it makes sense. It doesn't have so much to do with some ingenious retro-catalyst they engineered so much as it has to do with the synergy blend of protein it uses. Its a mix of whey isolate, casein and supro in a specifically proportioned amount. You body does have a priority on these things which creates an inherent "sustained release" as it will use certain components before others.
