Default do you think this is an unfair advantage?

Some years ago when i was a mad keen triathlete i was knocked over by a car whilst cycling. I suffered countless injuries, the worst being a brain haemorrhage. For a while i was paralysed down my left side. Things got back to some normality, and i got into the gym as i wasnt keen on riding again!!
Since then i have been nuts about BBing, and joined the International association of natural bodybuilders. I am now preparing for my 2nd comp, but have just found out they have a standing disabled class. Now i am competing against normal bodies, where mine always has that lag due to the paralysis, and the symmetry round of posing is one i am never going to do good at. So should i enter it, as i am bound to win? Is it a form of cheating? If i win it i can go to San Fran, to the natural olympia!!

views please.

They way I see it, if your injury/paralisys/brain hemmorage is holding you back from competing at a level consistant with bodybuilders that don't have injuries, than you SHOULD. That is what the disable class is for. I don't think it is restricted to those born with disabilities or even someone with extreme disabilities. Everyone's disability may be different, but the one factor that remains the same is not being on the same playing field as those without such obstacles.

Bottom line, you should compete in the disable class.

Agreed.

Injuries/paralysis are never similar, just because your's isn't a stereotypical one doesn't mean it shouldn't qualify. Go for it man.
