Congrats BTH! I think bench press is the hardest of the big 3 to add weight to. At least for me it is.
I'm glad you brought this old thread back, it reminded me. What the hell happened to Boyd? Does anyone know? I think he pissed alot of people off but he's knowlegable as a mother and he always tells it like it is. This site is not the same without all his F bombs. Not that there aren't still alot of knowlegable people here but, not many are/were as active as him. |

In the first 8 weeks of this year, I've increased my BSD by 102 pounds, so it is now 681.
Deadlift: 246 / 287 Squat: 171 / 194 Bench: 162 / 200 < My technique has improved which has helped this.

Both my squat and dead is a little above 400 each ( my grip gives out on deads before anything, but I can get 2 reps of 400 out ) and my bench "should" be well over 300 according to the 1RM, but I've been having a helluva time with my shoulders lately.
So I'll say 1142 for BSD...I dunno.. And I'm 6'3", 31 years old, and around 237 right now. And I've only been lifting actual free weights for 15 months now, and not really on a set schedule, thanks to "life" happening......
