Different peoples bodies respond to different programs in different ways. What worked for me may not work as well for someone else..... for instance take a squats exercise....I warm up, do one heavy set for 4-8 reps ( I will fail in this range ) and then do one more set in the 15-20 rep range with lower weight, so I keep my strength ramping up and I've found through many workouts that this kind of workout for my legs keeps them growing, and growing faster than what I would have ever thought possible....after I'm done I stretch my quads to the point where they hurt. Bulking up is mainly in your diet though bro, not in your routine, just eat more calories than what you need (like 15-17 X bodyweight) and eat clean, find a routine that works well for you, this may take some time to assess yourself so dont just do a routine for 2-3 weeks and give up on it. Your routine sounds fine except I have no idea what muscle groups you are working when, so I'm assuming one muscle group per week, which is fine. I personally go about 1.5 muscle groups per week but my recovery is pretty quick. How new are you to lifting??

No, you can not do 5x5 5 days per week. You grow when you're resting, not when you're training. If you're training hard, you won't be able to do that program the next day anyway. Eat, lift heavy, rest and you'll grow. It takes a long time and a ton of hard work. Don't try to skimp.

Bump, if you did 5x5 5 days a week you wouldn't grow and your entire body would fall off and dis-own you.

Yeah. There's no magic formula, again, growth takes time. You've just gotta keep doing the right things for a long time. You gotta keep lifting heavy ass weight. You have to keep getting down the right number of calories. You MUST keep getting stronger and stronger. You have to sleep. Rest, recover. Drink water. Lift heavier again. I mean, it isn't rocket science, but it's hard work. There's a reason you call it "working out".

I did the 5-day a week routine on the home page by Jim, but changed the leg day to wed from mon to break up the upper body a bit...

Mon-chest
Tue-back
Wed-legs
Thu-shoulders ( and benchpress again after, but I felt my chest was lagging)
Fri-arms

and sat and sun off.

I liked that because it took less than an hour each night after work, and I gained steady for 9 weeks till my shoulders started aching doing benchpresses.
