Default Advice on fat loss and supplements

Hey, I have around 19% body fat. I have recently started going to the gym for weight training, I have cut down on soft drinks and most other major carb sources like white rice.

The problem iam facing is that i want to become lean and not BIG, i see many people working out who look like they have muscle developed over their fat..they look huge and not built.

I would like to know what am i suppose to do to lose my fat and what supplements are recommended.
would be really helpful
thnx

Well you can do this efficently without supplements. You say you've cut off carb sources and soft drinks, well thats a start. Diet is what will get you your results the safest way and fast too... I'd recommend tracking all the food you consume on average daily and adding up the calories, carbs, etc and begin to cut things out and mold your diet.

There is information about carb cycling and other dieting tactics in the Diet and Nutrition section. I suggest HIGHLY that you read the Sticky's. Filled with good information for those looking to cut, bulk, whatever.

You can post an average day of food consumption and have us comment on it n give you pointers/recommendations.

Nevertheless, dieting is the key bro.

wont supplements be necessary to boost the metabolism to burn the fat faster and gain muscle mass at the same time?Cuz many people asked me for proteins supplements with 0% fat but i dont know which one should i take and if it wud help at my level of fat

I was asked to do cardio daily but it was too exhausting to do weight training after cardio so i have increased my warm up cycling to around 10 - 15 mins to act sort of like cardio, not sure if its a good substitute for aerobics but it helps me do weight training just fine
thnx for ur reply

Hi leoaamro would you mind telling us abit more about yourself like height and weight etc? The short answer on diet supplements is that they are not needed, i personally did without them and lost 145lb without much fuss, a clean diet and a good cardio and weights routine is whats needed, plus a ton of will power.

iam around 5'11'' and my weight is 81kg's, but my fat% is pretty high.
Isnt protein supplement a useful add on at this stage.
Plus i mentioned what iam considering as cardio for the time being around 10 - 15 mins of cycling (just an extension to my 5 min warm up routine)

thnx again

for starters you shouldnt be doing cardio then weights straight afterwards.

if you do cardio before lifting make sure they are a good 6 hours apart and you've eat well inbetween.

or try doing weights first, taking some protein then doing your cardio.
