Default Polar F11 wrist unit battery change

Hello!

Wow, it's been a while since i've logged in here. Feels good to be back.

I've been using the Polar F11 HRM for a little while now. The low battery indicator has appeared on the display, so it's time to have it changed.

Note :
I know Polar recommends that the wrist unit is sent in for servicing; i've done it before with an older Polar HRM. However, we know that in the retail corporate world, service is where businesses make their money. I know Polar claim they do some testing, they clean contacts, etc. And I know that doing this voids the warranty. Now...

Here are some pics of the unit removed from the plastic enclosure :

The front (yep, I flashed the unit to change the graphic, haha).

Back. I've tried prying this small part on the right, but nothing wants to move. Must I completely remove the metal housing by...

...prying all those little tabs around the unit?

Another pic...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd really like to finish this myself but if someone else did this before, it would be nice to have some directions.

Thanks!

Hi jlozan,

Unfortenately that link leads to the Polar website where they don't give instructions on how to change the battery, but rather suggest that you fill out a service form to get the battery changed by them.
