Theguns has a spectacular aura about
Default Hard desicion to make

Okay so we had a meeting/ practice or the wrestling team that i may be on next year and we even got weighed in.....he recommended that i try to get back to my old weight (im in the summer bulker contest and he has my old numbers) I think that not losing wieght is one thing but gaining more might send a bad message so hear are my options

1. drop wrestling all together
2. continue to gain weight and wrestle anyway putting me in a higher weight class plus bad reps from coach
3. drop bulking and maintain
4. drop bulking and lose the little fat i have on me

Honestly i might just drop it all together...not just for body building....which i enjoy more...but other reasons 2... just don't want t regret anything.

What is your BF%. Couldn't you just do a clean bulk and then cut towards the start of the season?

With wrestling you pretty much cut no matter what. Adding 10 pounds of muscle will put you in a higher weight class no matter what. You gotta ask yourself how important wrestling is to you- i wouldnt be afraid to add on the weight. Wrestling at a higher class might end up better anyways.

is wrestling something you plan on doing after HS?

The way I see it being part of wrestling ( or any sport ) in HS is something great to be a part of whether you are good or bad at it. can teach teamwork, responsibility, dedication, hard work and such. HS is only four years and after that many kids never get to do that sport again competitively. If you truly enjoy wrestling and try hard at it (whether you are good or not ) I would stay with it. you can start gettign a lot bigger when you are 18 and have many years ahead. If you do not really care that much about it and do not think you will go on to college with it just drop it. No point in wasting time. What is important to you.

I had the same problem when I was going into my junior year. I wanted to start getting bigger, but I also ran and loved running. I had to chose one. I realized that I wanted to run in college and I was clearly good enough to do so. well i chose runnign and I leave for cross country practice for my first year of college early august. I dislike cross country btw. lol. using it for training for track season.

one more thing. what grade are you in? if you are going to be a senior i would do wrestling if you ahev done it the last 3 years. if you are a sophomore not continuing to wrestle would not be as hard.

I would vote for sticking with wrestling. You have the rest of your life to lift and get big.

Yeah very tough decision to make.

In my opinion, if the sport doesn't mean anything to you and isn't important, you shouldn't be in it anyway.

I dont think its a tough decision at all.

You only have a brief span in your life to play a sport for your high school, ao dont let it pass you buy or you'll regret it later.
Some of the best times of my life were playing on the basketball team and wrestling for my school. Sometimes I break out the old videos and it all comes back, the glory, the teammates, the prestige, etc...

Screw the bulking contest, like Jlo said, you have the rest of your life to lift and get big.

I agree. Its also better to learn things such as wrestling from a young age. Who knows in 10 years you might wont to start wrestling again. Also you can lift anytime in your life. Id loose all the bf you can and workout to maintain your muscle. Then as you get better ask on at your coach about going up a weight class.
