Default How many of you seriously stretch?

I'm not talking about doing some little BS stretches in the middle of a workout, how many of you actually sit down for 10-15 minutes and stretch?

My last conversation with my chiro was actually a funny one. Because my hamstrings caused my back problem caused by me not taking stretching seriously, she asked me if I could recall anyone I have lifted with that actually DID stretches, let alone take them seriously. I couldn't think of any.

So fess up, do you do some good stretching during workout or just during your day, or not?

My hams were getting 'tight' and I was having trouble with my right heel. I've been trying to get back into the habit of stretching AM and PM. I'm happy if I get in a good 15-20 minute session once a day though.

I do extreme stretching after my exercises. Where you hold a painful stretch anywhere from 60-90 seconds...

I stretch when i do warmup sets. For example if im benching, i just use the bar and go real slow through the full range of motion making sure i get a good stretch at the bottom.

Stretching after exercising is beneficial though. I still say give it a shot.

Daily here! Helps with my Taekwon Do. I usually never stretch in the gym. Except my calves. Been nursing a calf pull/strain lately.

I half ass it.

I just stretch it the muscle hard for 10 seconds and go.

Ive never known or seen anybody into lifting weights that actualy considers stretching part of his routine.

I learned to take stretching seriously at a young age, playing soccer and basketball, and its followed me ever since. The number one reason for bad form on exercises like squats and deadlifts is lack of flexibility.

i never stretch, stretching is bs, i played soccer competetively for 12 years and never stretched, not once, i find irony in the fact that my teamates who were into stretching everyday were the ones most injured, no injuries here in 12 years, so i would say fvck it don't stretch just warm up for atleast 10 mins
