Ok, so no lock then???
Muscle stimulators are ok for physical therapy after trauma or an injury, but not for actually building muscle or anything like that...

It's good for preventing atrophy (as others have stated) because it stimulates the muscle. To cause hypertrophy the muscle has to be broken down, and the kind of electrical force that would required to match the breakdown of muscle tissue after a heavy work out would probably kill you.
