This question isn't so much a how-to but is it possible? I'm a guy, and looking to get a flat stomach. I've been reading around, some say cardio and strength training, others say it's genetics whether you have a belly or not, and that all the models on magazines etc are airbrushed and flat angles and they're not really like that. Because there's not really much to grab on me, it seems like hard fat or muscle...not sure which.
I kinda what the look Orland Bloom had in Troy (i think it was that film anyway). I'm not expecting to be packed with muscle, just nice and trim. But now I'm worried that maybe there's nothing I can do about it. http://images.faceparty.com/public/1...e_17779946.jpg to give you an idea of how I look at the moment (yes nothing special I know!). I don't drink that much booze at all to deserve a beer belly! I'm not really looking for a magic bullet here, I want to work hard regardless, but just want to know whether I'm aiming for something that might just not be in my grasp. I guess I'm looking for my chest to stick out further than my stomach (without holding it in lol). Is this possible or am I deluding myself? Oh and stomach vacuums -- has anyone had any success doing these for the above problem? Just wish I had a narrower frame really! |

Getting back into it Traz. I don't mean I'm having problems though, I just need an anatomy lesson because I've read that some people's stomachs aren't just made to be like that and I just wondered whether I'd got some weird idea that isn't achievable.
Travis: Do you know if the hard fat will burn away just as easily as the flabby stuff? It's like when I push it it's firm, but still a little protruding. I guess I'll just keep going and be the best my body will allow *shrug*. Can anyone tell me if the stomach vacuums are worth doing? |
