you're the one who just left them sitting there. If you weren't physically using them, how were they supposed to know that they "belonged" to you. Try telling him you were gonna use them, or just get more weights. quit *****ing about it.

It shouldn't bother you man. Just tell him you were useing it and let him work in.

I hate it when people don't re-rack their weights.

they usually only do that if your not actually on the bench or rack - just stay next to your weights

I'm just the first on here to say something. You will find that the more you post someone will say eventually say something. I thought I'd bring it up sooner, rather than later. Why do you capitalize the first letter of each word in a sentence, except the one that should be capitalized? Is this some new way of writing on the Internet that I'm not privvy too? Is this cool or something?

If you want more responses, you might try typing in a manner that would illicit intelligent responses Bro.

Hell I did it the other morning so some fat ass on the leg press... apparently he need all 10 45's, when he could barely get 4 up....

Bump^ on that.

You asked for our opinions and you got them, don't be ignorant. If it bothers you that much take the weights of the rung and lean them against the rack.

Dude, people don't re-rack the weights all the time. They should, but they don't, so if i see a bench or something with weights on it and it hasn't been used in a while, i use it. No reason to get your panties in a bunch. Just come over and let me know you were using it.

Are you saying that everytime all the benches are in use and there is one with weights on it that hasn't been used in a while, i should walk around and ask everybody if they're using it?

First off, thats hard as hell to read. Learn how to write properly, it will help you and the rest of us. Now, I need to figure out what you are talking about. What is a rack, do you mean a squat rack, do you mean a bench, do you mean a bar, or are you talking about a weight tree or something that just holds plates? Also, what are rungs?

The way you have made it sound is that you just left weight sitting around near a squat rack or on a weight tree and got pissed when someone took it. If you meant that you had it on a bar and they took it off the bar, thats a little different. You said that you weren't using it at the moment, so whoever took it, probably thought it was just another idiot who couldn't re-rack the weight. So, basically you caused the problem yourself. Ya, its annoying, but its basically your own fault. You weren't using it, so how is everyone else supposed to someone is on it?

it's rude if you are in the middle of a set and it disrupts you. If you are just standing there/resting/etc. ..then no, as long as it's not on your piece of equipment, it's fair game. (unless you specifically tell them you were about to use them in your next set). You make it sound as if the weight is on one of the trees/poles to hold spare weights on the equipment you were using.... again..it's not called the "free" weight room for nothing

I think I understand his question, and agree in principal.

If I'm on a leg press/bench press/squat rack, ie some piece of equipment that I could conceivably load a lot of weight onto and there are weights on or beside the equipment that are meant for it and someone comes and takes it without asking, I find it slightly rude.

Personally, if I see someone who looks strong and only has 1 plate on each side of a bar doing squats, and I see a couple of plates beside the squat rack, I assume they'll probably want to use them so I take mine from elsewhere, but I'm courteous to a fault.

I don't really expect it from other people, as most are oblivious to their surroundings and are not being intentionally rude.

OTOH i have been a dick once when I couldn't find any other plates, ran in while a guy was doing squats, grabbed 2 45s in each hand (they have a space for gripping them) from the rack beside him and ran away quickly. It was actually funny as fvck. The one guy came after me a bit then just gave up. hehehe....
