Default Building Muscle Mass & Toning.

Well, ive done as much searching and research for a while, now i would like your guys's input please.

Im looking to be as toned as possible, but also build as much muscle as possible. Now im not a very big guy by any means. I'm 150lbs with very very little fat so i think any muscle i add will be seen clearly.

Ive been trying to find the answer to my question which is:

Less weight, more reps? or
More weight, less reps?

Ive found that the more the weight, less reps is better to go. More weight = harder work out which means using more muscles. Obviously working out with proper form is the biggest issue, but ive taken care of that with a trainer.

Currently im taking my fish oil, daily vitamin, whey, and no-explode and seems to be working well. Basically, whats going to define me more? Any input and suggestions would be great.

Gah...I wish I could tell you, but I'm in the same deal. I look to build muscle and get the toned and a lil cut look...

But basically everything you said like More weight less reps will make your muscles grow though...but as far as gettign more defined and toned I have no clue

i went from 225 with 20% to 195 with 16% and now im 210 with 8-9%. the best thing that worked for me was to.. write everything down.. and eat 300 calories less than what i needed for the day.. u need to calculate ur BMR and add 400Cal for each hr u workout, and 600 for each hr of cardio... people are going to tell u im wrong.. but i practice what i preach.. ive posted it a lot in here..
ill give u an example:

your 200lb with 10% BF.. Your Lean Mass Is 180
180/2.205 X 30.4 = roughly 2500 calories a day needed to maintain muscle size without exercise.. add 400 cal for each hour you weight train and 600 for each hour of cardio.. So you train for an hour and do cardio for an hour.. that means u NEED 3500 calories for a day.. cut 300 calories off of that... and thats what u eat for the day.. its enough to build size from ur food and still use fat stores to lower BF. It worked for me.. but it doesnt work over night.. the ECA stack helps a lot as well..

The thesis of less weight more reps for tonning is bulls***. It only serves the purpose of increasing muscular endurance. It's also very difficult to increase mass and tone at the same time.
