Default running after wrkout

I have started to to do running after my wrkouts, so i will do my weight training then afterwards i will go on a run, either with my grip things that you squeeze or with my dumbells, is this a gd idea, the runs are about 15 - 20mins long and just nacker me out once i am done.

No, bad idea. After you workout your body needs nutrients and rest ASAP. If you run, you are putting your body into a majorly catabolic state. My rule of thumb has always been to do cardio atleast 8 hours before or after weight training. But warming up on a bike right before training is good, just don't overdo it.

Are you trying to lose weight? If so this is not such a bad idea but if your trying to add muscle... bad idea.

But even if he's trying to lose fat it's still not a good idea unless he wants to loose muscle aswell. And that wouldn't make much sense...

what you are doing is definitely not helping....depending on what your goals are. Maybe a lap or two at a light pace to keep the blood flowing, but nothing to really exert yourself.

well if your not up for building huge amounts of muscle i know jogging is good for overall fitness. Boxers and people who are still strong jog a lot. Just be careful to get good shoes or run on good surfaces. i cant jog now cuz my shins are wrecked so i have to save for jogging shoes. So unless your bulking its not too bad of idea so long as it is not right before w8 training or after.

i do jogging at 6 and training at 6pm

Yes. Your body is begging for nutrient post-workout. Adding cardio to this is going to send you into catabolism which is an area you NEVER want to be in.

Cardio and running should be seperated by at least 12 hours. Your body needs the nutrients you would burn up durring running to rebuild your muscles after lifting. Remember that your muscles grow durring rest so its important to get that rest or you will lose muscle. Your should run on the days that your not lifting.

I was always under the impression that your body didn't go catabolic til about 45 minutes to an hour into the work out.. If you did a good half hour work out wouldn't it then be ok to do a 15 minute HIIT?

I was told this is good as well. Slight cardio for 15 min before your workout is supposed to be good for you, but I don't really understand why. Can anyone else explain if they know?
