Great article, this would have saved me some time during my first few years of bodybuilding.

Default well said on the myths amoung us...

well said on the myths amoung us, I couldnt agree more...if your body doesnt have the time to heal and recover, how can it ever grow? you can only consume so much protien, and then your body stores the rest as fat...you'll learn the hard way....its all about moderation, in all aspects...eating, resting,supplements.....this is a definate read for us newbies...thanks!

this article is great however it contradicts itself it states that even working out a different bodypart will result in overtraining
but then later on says that the 3 days a week is a great routine
what do you guys think

That was interesting... I'll have to consider taking my off day after leg day.. maybe that's why my curls are not improving that much?

Default Good stuff.

Thanks man, that was awesome. However it’s a little frustrating since it contradicts about 90% of everything I read right here in this forum. BUT, I guess that’s because everyone who has ever lifted a dumb bell has his or her own opinion on fitness. We as lifters have to filter out the things that we feel will be best for our goals and us.

But in order to build muscle, you need to allow enough time for the muscle to recuperate fully (ie. let the lactic acid buildup in your muscles dissipate and ATP levels build back up).
If someone is taking creatine does it mean that they can wait less time between working out certian body parts? Creatine helps build up ATP levels so you wouldn't have to wait as long for your body to get your ATP levels back up between workouts. Is this true? And is there anything I can do to get rid of the lactic acid buildup in my muscles between workouts?

Default Lactic Acid

Drink LOTS of water, that will help flush out the acid. I've talked to several people that are using creatine, they said it did help in the recovery so that they were able to work on the area a little sooner, but not like the next day.

Default latest article

great info. and article. when I first started bodybuilding visited a no frills gym owned by a lady who competed and her advice about hardwork, different angles on lifting etc accelerated gains. However, the gut busters, bench press, squats, dips, push ups, and dead lifts worked. returned after 5 years and started training with advice from another female bodybuilder and even better results. eat lots of pasta, rice, muscle milk, and train like heck.
