Default Young kids getting about your cycles, read this.

Yup, it's something that I have been holding off saying here, because there was a lot of criticism involving my cycle 3 or so months ago.

Well, I can say now, to all of you youngin's (me included) reading this, **** can happen no matter how much you prepare. 4 years of research, and NOWHERE in my mind did I prepare for hair loss, let alone this much. It was a small cycle, my family isn't prone to baldness, and I didn't think there would be enough DHT conversion to cause a problem.

I went through the entire cycle, 500mg test a week, 12 weeks, without a problem, or at least I didn't think so until midway through PCT and decided to buzz my head.

I had lost, over the 3 months, a LOT of hair. Need proof? Check the picture. Thats from just a few weeks ago. It's no joke, and NOTHING now, aside from time and the possibility of propecia or rogain for the rest of my life to get my hair back. Either that, or just HOPE that it comes back in 6-12 months on it's own.

It's no joke. I wouldn't do a cycle knowing this would happen.

No I told you so remarks please, I put this up as embarrassing as it is for me as a warning. I'm not some old vet saying 'It'll happen', I'm the same age as a lot of kids posting up about cycles here.

Reps for you. Thanks for sharing - hope it will help some other kid thinking of doing a cycle at a young age.

Very good post. Like jlozan said, thanks for sharing. Do you plan on doing anymore cycles anytime soon, or in the future at all?

I dunno. I know now I have to use propecia, probably at a high dose, to hope I don't lose more.

It'll be a while, if anything. I just want my hair back now :cries:

Good post bro. And this is only one thing that can happen. People who really know me know that I'm not anti-gear (and I don't run around telling everyone to do it, it's a personal decision) but people DO need to be aware of what they can run into.

I'm proud of you for putting this up. At least it isn't a pic of gyno!

i'm sure you'd be sticking to the low cut hairstyle for a while. Unless you want the long hair you had a couple of years ago.

nothing bad to say here. you made great progress before and while on. good luck with the hair coming back.

I'd at least like the option of having long hair! But yea I'm digging the short style right now. My GF is protesting me, but I keep telling her I can go mr clean if she keeps complaining.

It doesnt really go away. It just transfers to other parts of your body.

Hair lose is a real possibility on cycles. I lose some hair at the beginning of a cycle until my body gets used to the androgens then I'm fine. It kind of shows you how different we all are in regards to gear sensitiveness.

Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us Cafe!

How much hair were you losing anyway, and this was happening throughout the cycle?

I'm not losing any more hair. Some is coming back, but it's painfully slow. It's filling in my crown, but it's not dense and very slow growing.

I don't want to put the possibility of another cycle out, but it's going to be a while, and with TONS of preemptive moves.

BTW, some guy called me gandpa today cause of the balding. Oi.

Men like yourself, that loose hair through AAS use usually have an underlying predisposition for a by-product of the male hormone testosterone, which is DiHydroTestosterone (DHT) to reside in the scalp as you already know, but I’m including for the lurking readers.

Here the interesting part, all hair follicles grow through a growth-dormant-regrowth cycle.

Unfortunately though when you’re on cycle you’re follicle is put into a permanent dormancy when predisposed to DHT.

When DHT is present in the scalp at high levels, induced by AAS use the follicle atrophies due to the excess DHT. Each follicle produces hair for shorter periods and “rests” for longer periods, until it finally goes into permanent dormancy and ceases to produce hair and the current ones fall out.

So any hair your getting back is only the hair that you have gained back are those that didn’t manage to go into the state of permanent dormancy. The others are gone forever no matter what promises of revolutionary hair regrowth is talked about.

Also, interestingly, the DHT only seems to affect the hair follicles on top of the scalp. While DHT is present in the entire scalp, the hair follicles that reside on the sides and back of the head resist its deleterious effects as your picture backs up.

When you’re ready keep cycling but choose your AAS and precautions carefully.

Nizoral 2% Shampoo:
Typically used for dandruff, but does prevent hairloss and should be used ED on cycle and EOD off cycle.

www.nizoral2percent.com

Saw Palmetto:
An herbal remedy for BPH Prostate Hypertrophy, but does show some anti-dht properties and best dosed at 960mg ED year round

Puchased online or at your local supermarket or drugstore

Spirolactone 5%
Topical based anti-dht product that is highly regarded as the best. When used alone apply at night before bed, and when used with minoxidil use spiro at night, and minox after shower in the morning.

Custom Nutrition Warehouse : Your Nutrition Superstore

Minoxidil 5%
Topical based anti-dht product that is now sold OTC at most drug stores and supermarkets. This product does not grow hair, however will help prevent extra hair losses. Best used before bed if only topical used, or twice per day morning and before bed on dry hair. If used with other topicals use minoxidil in morning as the smell is less potent that other topicals, and the other topicals at night.

Purchased at your local drugstore or supermarket or Custom Nutrition Warehouse : Your Nutrition Superstore

Finasteride
The absolute best oral anti-androgen used to prevent and reverse hairloss. There are pills or liquid at 1mg and 5mg, however 5mg can produce severe side effects as fat gain, muscle loss, and impotence. 1mg is sufficient on cycle when using high androgenic steroids, and 1mg EOD during off cycles is sufficient if even needed. This is mainly used during cycles, as topicals, nizoral and saw palmetto should be enough during off cycles.

IBE Labs

A combination platter of the above could provide the best punch for keeping what hair you have, and possibly even growing some at the sametime.

SawPalmetto 960mg ED
Nizoral 2% Shampoo ED or EOD
Spirolactone 5% ED or EOD Before Bed
Minoxidil 5% ED of EOD After morning shower on dry hair
Finasteride 1mg ED On cycle, and 1mg EOD Off Cycle

(the above was written by ryanbodybuilder)
