propecia and acne prevention

I heard through a friend, that spoke to doctor, that propecia (the hair stuff) blocks DHT and thus prevents oils from steroids giving you acne.

i get acne realllly bad, anyone know if this is true?

what kind of AAS are you taking?

standard testosterone (either enan, cyp, or sust) with deca or tren etc

are you taking any AAS now, or planning to later. If you are planning a cycle later, depending what's in that cycle.... yes, it could or could not help.

finasteride is minimally effective in reducing acne, and only with steroids that are 5a-reduced. topical anti-androgens like nizoral are a better fit, also good for androgenic alopecia

thanks for the reply

i tend to have red spots more-so than acne all over the place but steroids make it 10x worse, antibiotics seem to be the only thing to make it go.

given this, any ideas?
