Default Beginner Cycle... needing advice.

First some background...

Age : 26
Weight : 175
Height : 5'8"
BF% : around 10%
Train : 6 times a week

I've been lifting since high school (16), so roughly 10 years. I've adopted this lifestyle and have learned plenty during my years. Its been extremely difficult for me to put on mass, but I've managed to go from 140 to 175 since my senior year of high school. I've been maintaining this weight for about 3 years now. I am extremely disceplined when it comes to my diet and workout routine.

My question to you...

It seems as if I have hit a platuea in my training. My current goal is to cut up for the summer months, as it usually is around this time. I know this is not an uncommon goal. After trying to do so for the previous 2 years (thermogenics, cardio), I've always felt that I've been coming up short... not cutting up as much as I would have wanted. This year I've started a few months early in hopes of reaching my full potential.

I watch my caloric intake (eat 6 times a day) and have at least 4 HIIT sessions a week. The excess body fat just doesn't seem to disappear. Maybe I've hit my full genetic potential in this area?

A few buddies with similar problems have come to me with the option of doing a 6-8 cycle of Winstrol, unstacked. I've never experimented with any kind of steriod before. When I inquire about it, they are quick to say "don't worry, it'll work". They do not seem to be as willing to really find out about this stuff before taking it. I, on the other hand, research every supplement I've ever taken. I've read up on Winstrol. I've seen people say its worthless without another supporting steriod, such as Test, or that it dries out your joints. I wanted to get an opinion from you given my situation, training habits, proper diet. I would only be doing 1 cycle (oral). If there is another supplement/steriod that would better suit my needs, I would like to know about that as well. Please note that I'm not coming here looking for an easy way out. I feel I train harder than mostly anyone in my gym, and I do not plan on changing that. I just feel that I'm ready to give myself a boost.

Thank you for any help I may receive.

You can reach your goal without AAS.

It's all in your diet, but really 10& isn't cut enough for you???

Default response...

My diet is great. I work extremely hard to eat right, and its paid off, but I'm looking for the next level, I guess.

When would someone qualify to be "ready" for steriods ?

I've attached a fairly recent progress picture (2 weeks ago), to show where I'm at. Like I said, I'm almost where I want to be... and I've been here for sometime now, even with increased cardio, and tweaked dieting habits. I would like to get harder and cut.

Thanks for the replies thus far.

You keep saying your diet is great. Let's see it. And it better have less than 100 carbs in it for the whole day or we are going to rake you over and over and over and over the coals for lying to us

Winstrol will do nothing for you. Winstrol does not make you lose weight. It is designed to help you hold onto muscle while in a caloric deficiet. And I bet you are eating way more than you need.

So, let's see what you ate yesterday.

Default Coals...

In an attempt to NOT be raked over the coals...

Alright, what I eat yesterday...

8:00am
Protein shake w/ water
1/2 cup oatmeal

10:00am
PB & J on whole wheat

12:00pm
Grilled Chicken Breast
Yogurt w/ flaxseeds

3:30pm
Can of Tuna on whole wheat wrap

5:30pm
Pre-workout shake w/ water

8:00pm
2 scoops post-workout shake (w/ banana, ice, 8oz 1% milk)
Small side salad
1/2 bowl of oatmeal cereal

11:00pm
Bedtime Shake (1 scoop w/ 8oz 1% milk)

Vitamins & Supplements taken throughout the day.
Multi
Vitamin C
Calcium
Green Tea Extract
Lysine
Arginine
Kre-Alkalyn
Taurine

I really do not think that I'm over-eating. But if I am, I would like to know. I'm always looking for ways to improve.

For as long as I've been hearing about steriods, I've always heard that Winstrol = cutting and that DBol = growth. I know it sounds basic, but like I said, I've never really been into this whole scene. Is there another cutting agent that I might be interesed in ? ... yes, aside from diet & cardio.

I guess you learn something new everyday.

Cut out your breads and wraps. Loose the PJ sandwich. Stays too long in your system.
Introduce brown rice and sweet patatoes to your diet.
Can't have oats for dinner. I would have a salad with any meat or fish and a shake. Eat most of your carbs early to mid day.

Here is a typical day for me,

Morning meal,
6 eggs with a cup 1/2 of oat meal. (2 full eggs and the rest eggwhites)

Second meal,
fish/ sweet patatoe/6 oz low fat yougurt(plain)/ apple

third meal
Chicken and rice( one cup cooked)./V8 veggie drink

Forth meal
Steak/salad with a bunch of veggies in it.

Fifth meal
Protein shake 3 scoops

Now if you want to loose more fat, 2 days a week go low carbs to about 100g a day. Increase protein somewhat to protect burning muscle as much as you can.

I don't think I would complain looking like that, nice work. However, if you want to go further, listen to the folks here. I think you could do this without AAS, just tighten your diet up some. Lose some of the carbs and increase the protein to protect the muscle you've worked so hard to get.

Lose carbs, increase protein. Got it.

So is it safe to say that its ok to have some meals with little or even no carbs at all? I was always told carbs were important, even in cutting stages (obviously not in a huge amount). I was taught that the protein is the cinder block and the carb is the mortar. I guess I'm having too much.

I will cut down and see where it takes me.

Thank you for the advice.

Yes, you can have meals with no carbs. Carbs are good to replenish the glycogen in the liver-that's why they are important!

So generally, go around 250g of carbs a day for 5 days with 2 days at around 100g of carbs.
If you feel that you are slugish then you can carb up 300-350g of carbs for 2 days then back to your diet.
