Default Am I Ready For a Cycle?

Hello all,
I've been researching on the said subject for a good few months and been contemplating heavily on starting a cycle.
But, I'm not so sure if I'm ready to start yet, due to my size.

Currently, I'm 28, 6' and about 170lbs.
Been exercising and lifting for a bit over a year now and seem to have to hit a plateau.

My diet is stable and my workouts are consistent as well.
I have had a personal trainer for a few months, which helped alot.
But, personally, I would prefer to gain about 20ish more lbs.

thanks in advance for reading and your opinions and suggestions.

Nope. Keep at it till you hit 200lbs. You need some good quality time in the gym first.

The fact is, you aren't sure if you're ready for a cycle - that normally means you ain't.

Why dont you live your life as IF you were on gear....You know.....lift heavy, eat heavy, get good sleep....I bet you break past your plateau in no time...Do less sets, lower reps...get on some creatine monohydrate(ISS Research) and whey protein....you'll be amazed....

Well all I can say is it is refreshing that you are not another stupid 18 or 19 year old who is jumping on a cycle.

At 6' you really need to get up to a lean 200lbs or more before you are ready for a cycle.

My advice to all is you need at least 5 years of hard and consistent natural training before even considering a cycle

Everyone hits plateaus, the difference is finding a way to break straight through them with your training and diet and gaining valuable experiance in bodybuilding or taking a 'wonder pill' and never really learning anything.

just because you've hit a snag point doesnt mean you've hit your natural limit, at 170lbs i'd say your a 30-40lbs away and a good 3-4 years of training under your belt from that point.

It'd be cool to see a study like what Traps said and see what happens when people think they're on roids.
