4AD help!

I've had some AST 4AD for a while, and there is no expiration date on the bottle. When i opened the bottle, I realized the pills were pretty hard, so i cut one open, and the contents are so compact that its just a solid inside a case.
I also put one pill in warm water and left it.... the capsule cover dissolved, but the 4ad stayed in its capsule shape as a solid until i squeezed the bottle, and shook it around.
Is this 4AD expired, or are they all like this, and it will break down in the acidic environment in my somach?

Moisture, will cause anu type of power form to become solid, dosent mean its gone bad.

Expiration dates, unless it 5 years past date i wouldnt worry about it

Stomach acids break things down quicker than water, soo a water test isnt very accurate

it should be good....i would still smash up the capsule before eating it though.
